So last night I made the mistake of watching Dollhouse with my roommate. I got her hooked on the show sometime last March, which is kind of good, because I love pimping my TV shows. But this means that we now watch it together when it airs, and she has the bad habit of talking/asking questions during the episode. I on the other hand would much rather sit there in silence and get completely absorbed by the episode. Last night was exceptionally bad because about ten minutes in she realized she managed to never watch Omega, and therefore huge parts didn't make sense. Which meant I got to spend quite some time explaining it to her. *headdesk* Needless to say I rewatched the episode this morning so that I could fully appreciate it. Much better the second time around.

Oh, and not meme related at all, but for a while now I've been thinking about possibly jumping on the bandwagon and joining Twitter. That was all fine and dandy until I decided to actual sign up the other day, and someone has taken my username. WTF? I get that I don't own it or anything, but I've never run into that problem before. It's my middle name that was passed down from a relative who mispelled it (it's supposed to be Nitelle). I always thought it was pretty unique...

Anyone have alternative username suggestions for me? Because I'm seriously stuck. :( I was thinking maybe something about astro/geo, or physics, or ... I have no idea.

For several months now carpenyx and I have been talking about doing a complete Stargate SG-1 rewatch, starting with the pilot episode and going all the way through to the movies. We wanted to do it together so that we could better enjoy the SG-1 rewatch love. But then we thought, why just us? Why not make it a whole group of people? So we thought of making a rewatch comm. Now there already exists a comunity like this, but they're already on season 6 or 7. So we've been thinking of making our own version of the comm, where we can start at the beginning and not half to jump in part way through. Something for the two of us, and anyone on our f-lists. If anyone else finds the comm and wants to join, they'll be more than welcome, but it's not going to be something that we promote anywhere else. Just our own little lj/Stargate corner of fun. (Oh, and if anyone wanted to watch for the first time through along with us, that'd be totally cool too.)

With the whole back to school thing, and knowing that my lj presence is going to be at least somewhat diminished for the next 8 months, I think it's time for a friends cut. This isn't really anything drastic.

I'm not trying to make any super huge changes here, just staying up to date. There are some people on my flist I rarely (if ever) hear from.
